iPhone App Store screenshot size.
TL;DR. For 2026 submissions: 6.9" iPhone screenshots at
1320 × 2868 are the new baseline. If your app supports iPhone 8 Plus or older, also supply 5.5" at 1242 × 2208. Apple auto-scales for every class in between, 6.7", 6.5", 6.1". Why 6.9" is the new baseline
Apple introduced the 6.9" display class with iPhone 16 Pro Max in September 2024 at 1320 × 2868. App Store Connect now treats this as the preferred upload class: supply 6.9" and Apple downscales to 6.7", 6.5", and 6.1" automatically. If you skip 6.9" you can still upload 6.7" as a baseline (iPhone 15 Pro Max class), but the per-device preview on iPhone 16 Pro Max will be Apple-scaled.
Required vs accepted
App Store Connect distinguishes "required" sizes (you can't submit without them) and "accepted" sizes (extra uploads improve per-device quality). In 2026:
- Required: 6.9"
1320 × 2868, for apps supporting iPhone 16 Pro Max class. - Required if you support pre-iPhone X: 5.5"
1242 × 2208, covers iPhone 8 Plus and older. - Accepted but optional: 6.7", 6.5", 6.1", and the older 4.7" SE class.

Common mistakes
- Uploading 1284 × 2778 thinking that's 6.7". That was the iPhone 13 Pro Max class size; current 6.7" is
1290 × 2796. - Trying to upload screenshots in landscape for a portrait app. Apple rejects with a size mismatch.
- Using alpha-channel transparency in the visible area. Apple composites over its page background, often looks broken.
