Exporting screenshots.

TL;DR. Click "Export" in the header → pick sizes (6.9", iPad 13", etc.) → pick locales → "Download ZIP". The ZIP contains one folder per size class, each with one subfolder per locale, containing every panel as a numbered PNG. Drop the right folder into App Store Connect.

The export modal

Designing and previewing are free; full-resolution export and store publishing unlock with a plan. Click "Export" in the header to open the modal. Three sections:

  • Sizes: checkboxes for each App Store size class (6.9", 6.7", 6.5", 5.5", iPad 13", iPad 11", Pixel, Galaxy). Required minimum for new App Store submissions: 6.9" iPhone and 13" iPad if you support iPad.
  • Locales: only shows if you have more than one locale enabled. Otherwise the active locale is exported.
  • Download: clicking generates the ZIP and triggers a download.

Uploading to App Store Connect

  1. App Store Connect → My Apps → your app → App Store tab → version → Screenshots section.
  2. Pick the device class (e.g., "iPhone 6.9-inch Display") and the locale.
  3. Drag the matching folder's PNGs from the ZIP onto the upload area. Order matters, Apple uses upload order as carousel order.
  4. Repeat per locale. Apple doesn't auto-copy across locales; each locale's screenshots upload separately.
  5. For Play Store: Play Console → Store Listing → Graphic assets. Upload at Phone screenshot or Tablet screenshot per platform tier.

Sizes, what to actually pick

  • iPhone-only app: 6.9" is required. 5.5" also required if you support iPhone 8 Plus or older. Apple scales 6.9" down for everything in between.
  • Universal app (iPhone + iPad): 6.9" iPhone + 13" iPad. Same scaling rule applies on the iPad side.
  • Android app: Phone 1080 × 1920 and 10-inch Tablet at the same dimension. Skip 7-inch tablet unless your usage analytics show real demand.

Common questions

Can I export just one panel as PNG?

Yes, "Export single panel as PNG" in the export modal. Useful for social media or sharing previews.

Why are my exported PNGs blurry?

Almost always means you have a low-resolution source screenshot inside a device frame. The export renders at exact App Store dimensions but can't add detail that wasn't there. Replace the screenshot with a higher-res capture.

Does export include the AI-translated locales?

Only the locales you've enabled in the language switcher. If you translated to all 50 but only enabled 5 in the switcher, the ZIP contains 5 locales.
